Mawson West Ltd is an Australian based copper and gold explorer, with a focus on the Kapulo high-grade copper prospect in the Democratic Republic of Congo/Zambia. The Company also has gold and iron ore projects in Western Australia.
Mawson West has entered into a joint venture with Anvil Mining on the 5,500 km2 Kapulo project which straddles the border between Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
The Company recently secured a joint venture with ASX-listed St Barbara Limited (SBM) to fund exploration on it's 112km2 Golden Mile South Project, located 4km southeast of the 74Moz Kalgoorlie Super Pit in Western Australia.
Mawson West holds over 200km2 in the Midwest Iron province of Western Australia. Initial findings from work completed by JV partners is encouraging, with results showing up to 59% Fe.
